Farrow and Ball Cromarty No.285 Inspired by sea mist and named after the Cromarty Firth estuary, a place of swirling mists mentioned daily in The Shipping Forecast, which is in itself part of the fabric of British coastal life. This colour brings a muted softness to any room. A lighter version...

Farrow and Ball Drop Cloth No.283 This colour and its name is a nod to painters and decorators; a drop cloth is the traditional name for the indispensable painter’s dust sheet which this colour embodies. It reads as neither too yellow, nor too grey, and is the perfect contrast to the...

Farrow and Ball Inchyra Blue No.289 This colour was first used at the classic Georgian Inchyra House to work with moody Scottish skies. It can be found on the exterior doors of their very impressive byre (barn) which nestles at the bottom of a rather grey and imposing brae (hill). Such...

Farrow and Ball Peignoir No.286 This grey pink has a romantic feel inspired by the chiffon gowns in which ladies traditionally brushed their hair in boudoirs. Created by giving the softest of pinks a big dose of grey, this colour has the ability to feel traditional and modern at the same...

Farrow and Ball Salon Drab No.290 A two-part name, combining Salon, the small outer room off a drawing room, with Drab, a term favoured by true colourists, which simply describes a colour as lacking in brightness. The richness of this colour is instantly appealing and equally at home when used to...

Farrow and Ball Shadow White No.282 Shadow White takes its name from the soft tone created when whites are used in shaded areas. For devotees of lighter neutrals on both walls and woodwork, this versatile and understated colour works in any style of home. It has none of the perceived...
from £28.00
Farrow and Ball Vardo No.288 A Vardo is a traditional horse drawn gypsy or Romany wagon. A similar colour was used in the intricate patterning of these vehicles (usually over red) which is seen as an important cultural high point in decoration. This rich teal is so full of life...

Farrow and Ball Worsted No.284 This colour brings to mind city suits made from the flat woven fabric Worsted, so named after the Norfolk village where the yarn was originally woven. For devotees of our Easy Greys neutral family, this is stronger in tone than its counterpart Purbeck Stone, but lighter...

Farrow and Ball Yeabridge Green No.287 This colour was found in an 18th century Georgian Hamstone farmhouse in Yeabridge, Somerset, when the original gun cupboard was removed. Although untouched for many years, it was still astonishingly reminiscent of the lush grass that surrounds the house. This uncomplicated, fresh ‘avocado’ green works...
